FAW, WFP study condition of food security in Dhamar

DHAMAR, Oct. 12 (Saba)- Dhamar
governor Yahya al-Amri held talks on Monday with the delegation of the Food and
Agriculture
Organization (FAW) and World Food Program (WFP) over condition of the food security
and agricultural production in Yemen.

The delegation is visiting the country to prepare studies to minimize burdens on
farmers due to waters shortage which impact negatively on the agricultural
production in
the country.Al Amri highly appreciated efforts of the two organizations in
supporting the agricultural activities in Yemen in general and Dhamar in particular.
The delegation said that the visit came to respond to an invitation from the Yemeni
government represented by the Ministry of Agriculture to support efforts of the
government
to face challenges of the agricultural development.
