Asian, African election officials to visit election offices

SEOUL, Oct. 13 (Yonhap) -- Election officials from Asian and African nations will
visit South Korea to observe polling and counting offices, the country's election
committee said Tuesday.

"Twelve election officials from nine countries including Sri Lanka, Cambodia,
Zimbabwe and Cameroon will have a workshop on electoral systems from Oct. 12 to
29," the National Election Commission said.
"They will visit polling stations and counting offices at a district in Gyeonggi
Province during the period."
The visit precedes South Korea's by-elections for five parliamentary seats slated
for Oct. 28.
