Amr Mousa makes statement following his meeting with Prince Naif
Cairo, October 12, SPA -- Secretary General of the Arab League Amr
Mousa described his meeting with Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second
Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia, here today as good and that it dealt with the agenda of the
Arab Interior Ministers Council and coordination within the Arab
League.
In a statement to the press following the meeting, Mousa said he
also discussed with Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz the situation in the
Arab world.
Mousa also hailed the role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud, in healing the injuries of the Arab nation.
Current problems are not only between Arab countries but also among
Arab societies who are far derailing, he added.
He described King Abdullah’s recent visit to Syria as important and
a continuation of the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud he launched in Kuwait
Arab summit last January for Arab reconciliation.
He described this approach as the most correct and positive that
narrows the gaps and ends disputes.
In response to a question, he said a meeting for Iraq's neighboring
countries scheduled for Sharam Al-Sheikh, egypt, on Wednesday is
designed to coordinate among security bodies in the Arab countries.
