Seoul shares down 1.36 pct late morning


SEOUL, Oct. 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 1.36 percent lower late
Tuesday morning as institutional and foreign investors expanded sell-offs of
large caps, analysts said.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) shed 22.23 points to
1,617.58 as of 11:20 a.m.
Financials and shipbuilders led the broader market's fall. No. 3 financial
services company Shinhan Financial Group declined 2.5 percent and top shipyard
Hyundai Heavy Industries shed 2.49 percent.
The local currency was trading at 1,168.9 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., up 1.1 won from Monday's close.
