STX wins order for wind power facility from Romania

SEOUL, Oct. 14 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's STX Group said Wednesday that it has won a deal to provide a wind power facility to a Romanian firm Under the deal with Atra Eco Co., STX Corp., the group's defacto holding company, will provide six 2-megawatt wind power turbine generators by 2010.

Financial
terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In July, the business group took over a Dutch wind-power turbine maker for around
24 billion won (US$19 million) as part of group-wide efforts to diversify revenue
sources.
STX Group, whose key affiliates include STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co. and STX
Pan Ocean Co., has been seeking to boost its wind power-related business and is
targeting sales of 1.5 trillion won in 2015.
