Almaty is the largest and the most densely populated city in Kazakhstan. The city’s car population has already reached over 650 thousand with the issue of traffic jams turning into a really acute problem. The Road Map program basically focuses on the improvement of roads for which the government allocated as much as 12 billion tenge. 332 kilometers of roads have already been renewed providing 11.5 thousand new jobs.

Police officials basically focused on the prevention of violations which made the corresponding index reduce by over 17%. Such a result became possible due to new equipment such as a mobile finger print biometric search engine. This can process a lot of information within seconds, scanning a finger print database of over 250 thousand people who ever had criminal records in Kazakhstan.
