Preparatory Committee "Aden...Yemen's Gateway to the World" holds meeting next
SANA'A, Oct. 15(Saba)- The Preparatory Committee for the Economic and
Investment Conference
"Aden…Yemen's Gateway to the World" is to hold its meeting next Sunday sponsored by
President Ali Abdullah Saleh and headed by Aden Governor Adnan al-Jafri .
The weekly 26 September has reported that the meeting of preparatory committee will
discuss preparation process and foreign participation regarding the investment
projects,
which will be presented during the conference, estimated at more than a billion
dollars including multiple sectors.
Prime Minister Ali Mujawar said the conference will take place during 11-12
November which will highlight the economic reform program implemented by the
government and its
plan to attract strategic investments.
Chairman of the General Investment Authority Salah al-Attar said the conference
seeks to identify the most important challenges and obstacles facing investment in
the Aden
Free Zone (AFZ).
Al-Attar pointed out that the conference will include papers describing investment
opportunities in AFZ and development strategy to develop the AFZ in the fields of
industry,
commerce and real estate and tourism with the participation of Arab and foreign
companies to offer their services in financing and advisory services.
