Yemeni court tries seven suspected members of al-Qaeda
SANA'A, Oct.17 (Saba) - The
state security court began on Saturday the trial of seven suspected members of
al-Qaeda.
During the first hearing, the court showed the charges against the defendants being
accused with forming an armed gang to carry out criminal acts and target foreign
tourists
and western interests in the country as well as governmental and security bodies.
They were also charged of threatening the society's security and plotting attacks
with weapons, explosives.
The court decided to postpone the trial till the coming Saturday for presenting
more evidences.
