Yemen, ICRC discuss humanitarian assistance in Saada
SANA'A, Oct. 17(Saba)- Minister
of Local Administration Rashad al-Alimi held Saturday talks with Head of
International
Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC) Jean-Nicolas over a number of issues regarding to
the humanitarian assistance for the displaced people in Saada province and Harf
Sufyan
district through providing food security.
Al-Alimi clarified efforts exerted by the Yemeni government through providing
necessities of the displaced people and distributing them under the supervision of
the Relief
Committee headed by Deputy Health Minister.
He affirmed readiness of the government to facilitate all difficulties which will
face the ICRC delegation in Saada and Amran governorates to provide humanitarian
relief
for the displaced people who fled their homes due to the rebellion war in some
districts of Saada province and Harf Sufian.
For his part, the ICRC head praised the role of the government and local
authorities in dealing with the requirements and situations of the displaced
families.
