Bulgarian president due in Seoul for summit with Lee

SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Yonhap) -- Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov will arrive here
next week for a bilateral summit with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak
marking the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries,
Seoul's presidential office Cheong Wa Dae said Monday.

Parvanov, first Bulgarian head of state to visit Seoul since 1995, will begin his
three-day visit Sunday.
"President Lee will hold summit talks with President Parvanov on Monday to
discuss ways to increase substantial cooperation between the countries in various
areas, including political, economic and cultural sectors," Cheong Wa Dae said in
a press release.
The countries are also set to sign a defense secrecy agreement on the sidelines
of the summit, it said.
