HEALTH MINISTER CONFIRMS THREE SWINE FLU CASES IN SCHOOLS

SANA'A, Oct. 19 (Saba)- until now, three swine flu cases have been
discovered in schools in Hajjah, Aden and Sana'a capital, minister
of public health and population confirmed on Monday.

During his inspection visit along with Minister of Education Abdul
Salam al-Jaofi to Akhwan Thabat Girl secondary School in Sana'a
capital, the minister inspected the preventative actions taken by
the school such as cleaning and spreading the knowledge about the
virus.

Yemen has recently taken further measures to combat the pandemic of
H1N1 after it continued to surge bringing the country's total to
almost 1000. 13 deaths, however, were reported from the flu.

Among the measures taken was dispatching teams to raise awareness
about the pandemic among the students and the troops.
