Hankook Tire returns to black in Q3
SEOUL, Oct. 20 (Yonhap) -- Hankook Tire Co., South Korea's largest tire maker,
said Tuesday it bounced back into the black in the third quarter of this year on
rising demand.
Hankook posted a net profit of 182.9 billion won (US$156.7 million) for the
July-September period, compared with a net loss of 14.2 billion won a year
earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Sales rose 14.1 percent from a year ago to 762 billion won, and operating profit
stood at 155.9 billion won, compared with an operating loss of 16.4 billion won a
year earlier, according to the filing.
