PRESIDENT : CABINET'S FORMATION STILL IN PROGRESS
Jakarta, Oct 20 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said here on Tuesday the cabinet's formation was still in progress.
"It is not yet finished. Things are still being processed," he said to newsmen before meeting with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd at the Merdeka Palace.
Minister/State Secretary Hatta Radjasa said earlier that the second United Indonesia Cabinet would be formed before President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono leaves for Thailand to attend an Asean Summit on October 23.
"It is the President that will decide. But what is clear is that it will not take long. It will take place some days after the inauguration. Although according to the law it must be done 14 days at the latest after the presidential inauguration it will be finished no longer than a week because the President has to leave for Hua Hin, Thailand," he said after congratulating Yudhoyono and Boediono after their inauguration as the country's next president and vice president.
In response to newsmen's congratulations the President asked them to cooperate again for the next five years. "Let us continue our cooperation," he said adding he wanted to have "millions of friends, no enemy."
