UNICEF OFFICIAL CRITICIZES DISTORTION HIS STATEMENTS BY MEDIA

SANA'A, Oct. 21 (Saba) - UNICEF Regional Goodwill Ambassador Mahmoud Kabil criticized on Wednesday how media outlets have dealt with his statements on conditions of children displaced at Mezraq camp in Hajjah province.

"Some mass media used my statements for political goals. I am not interested in policy. I only care about the humanitarian situations and children conditions in the camp", he said, upon his departure.

Kabil said that he did not visit Sa'ada province, he only paid a visit on Monday to the displaced camp to inspect conditions of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Hajjah.

He also expressed his satisfaction on the government's efforts and assistance with the UNICEF.
