YEMEN INTENSIFIES SECURITY ALONG COASTLINE



SANA'A, Oct. 22 (Saba) - Security authorities have intensified
security procedures along the coastal strip in case of any arm
smuggling operations to Yemen, Interior Ministry reported on
Thursday.

The Ministry has tightened control on all main and secondary harbors
and taken precautionary procedures all along the coasts to foil any
weapon smuggling operations to the country.

The Ministry has coordinated with naval forces and the military
camps located in the coastal governorates to hold any suspect boats.

The security bodies watch around the clock the ship movements
sailing nearby the Yemeni coasts to prevent any entering for
smuggled weapons in addition to drugs in to the Yemeni territories.

Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs Rashad
al-Alimi has said before the Parliament that the government has
concerned of unloading arm shipment in Somalia or Djibouti and
smuggled to in boats to Yemen, affirming that the required actions
have been taken by the government.
