YEMEN PROMOTES TOURISM IN EUROPE

PARIS, Oct. 22 (Saba) - Yemen launched on Thursday a tourism
promotion campaign on the duck of a swimming ship in the Seine
River in the heart of France's capital Paris.

The campaign organized in collaboration with the Cultural Attaché at
the Yemeni Embassy in France came within the second tourism
promotion Yemen has launched in Europe.

During the event attended by representatives of French tour firms,
Yemen's ambassador to the country called on French officials to
limit warnings over travel to Yemen, assuring Yemen is stable and
security prevails throughout it.

Khalid al-Akwa'a said lifting warnings on travel to some of Yemen's
parts will significantly contribute to antiterrorism efforts and
support Yemen partnership in the war against this global phenomenon.

He highlighted Yemen-France deep rooted and cooperation in various
fields, first and foremost in the security area, appreciating
France's understanding of the situation in Yemen.

Many activities were organized including speeches on Yemen and its
tourism products, its location and arts inside it.

The campaign launched October 18 to promote Yemen tourism includes
Paris, Milan and Frankfort.

The first campaign was launched in November 2007.
