GCC HEALTH OFFICIAL ARRIVES IN YEMEN

SANA'A, Oct. 23 (Saba) - Head of the GCC Executive Council of the
Health Office Tawfiq Bin Ahmed Bin Khouja arrived in Yemen in Friday
for the meeting of the Fund to Free the Arabian Peninsula of
Malaria.

The two-day meeting, 24-25 October, will focus on several topics
related to activating the functions of the fund and implementing
plans designed for completely eradicating the diseases by 2015.

The meeting will review the general framework of the strategic plan
drawn up by the ministry of Public Health and Population in Yemen to
handle current changes and set out a future plan and a mechanism for
implementation phases and performance indicators, he said.

The meeting will, furthermore, deal with the shares of the founders
of the fund in an attempt to know about the sums already transferred
into the executive office as well as other financial topics.
