Pipeline bridge collapse: One dead, 11 injured

Thane, Oct 23 (PTI) One person died and 11 others were
injured when a portion of a water pipeline underneath a
pedestrian bridge collapsed on a local train on the suburban
Mulund-Thane route on Friday.
The mishap took place when a part of the under
construction Kopri water pipeline bridge fell on a
Kalyan-bound train around 1030 hours, police said here in the
western state.
One person died in the incident while three persons of
the 11 injured are in critical condition and have been
admitted to a nearby hospital, police said.
Rail services on the Central line were disrupted due
to the incident, crippling trains between suburban Kurla and
Thane, inconveniencing commuters.
Police, fire brigade officials and rail personnel have
reached the spot to take stock of the situation and rescue
