The Doha negotiations had collapsed in Geneva in July
last year mainly on the issues of farm subsidies and level of
protection being given to farmers by different member
countries.

After a gap of 14 months, about 30 members of the WTO met
here and agreed that the negotiations should be taken forward
International leaders have set 2010 as the deadline for
