SANA'A, Oct.24
(Saba) - The financial and administrative reforms and combating corruption top the
list
of priorities of the successive governments, Prime Minister Ali Mujawar said on
Saturday.
Inaugurating the modern management methodology of the General Authority of Rural
Water Supply Projects (GARWSP), Mujawar pointed out that the authority was able to
present
a workable model for the success of the government's policies in field of
administrative reform and combating corruption, Mujawar said in the ingurgitation.
He expressed his satisfaction for the success and accomplishments achieved by the
authority in executing the administrative reforms phases in cooperation with
Ministry of
Civil Service and Social Security.
The premier affirmed offering all support aspects to the authority so as to enable
it to continue in its financial and administrative reform and realize the desired
decentralization
in this sector.
He pointed the importance of this process by which the government seeks to address
the imbalances and remove the distortions in our economic, financial and
administrative
structures so as to serve the nationwide development process.
Meanwhile, the premier indicated that the state, through its keenness on combating
corruption institutionally, aims at eradicating the corruption hotbeds and
enhancing the
environment to help the success of development programs and policies.
Mujawar called upon all to use water resources optimally and develop and preserve
them, adding that the authority's experience in the decentralization system should
be followed
by all other local projects and the state's institutions.
He valued the current cooperation between the authority and the Dutch friends which
helped to present a live picture for the success of plans and polices based on the
successful
cooperation between local and foreign experiences.
In this respect, Mujawar confirmed that the government will meet its obligations to
provide the necessary sums for the authority according to the modern national
strategy
of water in order to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The modern management methodology represents the organizational frame for achieving
the GARWSP's vision related to implementing the projects and covering the needs of
rural
population to water and sanitation services with participation of local society and
donors.
