N1H1-infected people not acceptable in Yemeni hospitals
SANA'A, Oct. 26 (Saba) -
Yemeni official and private hospitals refused to receive any Swine Flu-infected
cases, Saba-run
al-Syasiah paper reported on Monday.
Al-Thawra Hospital is the only hospital that receives N1H1 cases and has provided
isolation rooms for them, however, these rooms are not prepared medically for such
kind
of disease, some Yemeni doctors said.
Doctors also said that the Ministry of Public Health and Population has not
provided safety requirements for the doctors, who treat with the infected people.
It is worth to mention that the government has allocated YR 1.4 billion to
encounter the outbreak.
The last announcement of Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul-Karim
Rase'a said that the number of N1H1 infected people has risen to 921 cases in
addition to 13
death cases. About 843 cases have been cured.
About eight cases have been discovered in a girl high school.
The first confirmed H1N1-infected case was announced in Yemen on June 2009.
