GCC Interior Ministers start 28th Session 4 Muscat

Prince Ahmed said stability of the situation in the region requires coordination of
efforts from all countries of the region and building of the distinguished security
relations among the countries of the region including Iran based on the principles
of mutual respect and joint cooperation as well as non-intervention in domestic
affairs. He affirmed that these will contribute to enhancing the pillars of
security and stability in the region.

"We have been facing serious challenges and dangers including the dangers of
terrorism, which threatens our achievements as well as our moral values and
principles in addition to our natural resources," he said, noting that confronting
these could be attained only be through a coordinated gulf and international effort
for the protection of the human communities from its destructive impact.
We should take all precautionary measures for eradication of terrorism, and there is
a need for taking collective security measures for confronting terrorism".
