on the Rajya Sabha website as mandated in the section 4 of the
RTI Act, 2005 which deals with proactive disclosure of
information by government departments.

Chief Information Commissioner Wajahat Habibullah through
a significant decision has decided that office of the Leader
of Opposition in Lok Sabha comes with the purview of RTI Act.
Habibullah in his order had said that since the Leader
of Opposition in Lok Sabha is part of the House, even if
distinct from Lok Sabha Secretariat, the secretariat must
provide all necessary assistance to ensure the establishment
of the RTI office for the same.
He was hearing the plea of an RTI applicant Agrawal who
sought detailed information from L K Advani on the letter
written by former Home Minister to Prime Minister of India
Manmohan Singh on the issue of black money stashed in Swiss
