Earlier, Patil met Leader of Opposition in UK Parliament
David Cameron, who expressed support to India's candidature
for a permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council.
Cameron stressed on cooperation between the two
countries in the field of education, a point mentioned by
British Queen Elizabeth and President Pratibha Patil during
their respective Banquet speeches.
The President also dwelt on cooperation in the field of
sports in the context of the Commonwealth Games to be held in
Delhi next year.
They also discussed special relations of India with the
Conservative Party. Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague was
