Shoura Council Chief invited for Afro-Arab Meeting in Rabat

Riyadh, October 28, SPA -- Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, the Chairman of the Shoura (Consultative) Council, has received a message from Chairman of the Council of advisors in Morocco Dr Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh Biyadallah.

The message contained an invitation for Dr Al Al-Sheikh to attend the fourth
conference for the League of the Shoura and senate councils in Africa and the Arab
world, due to be held in Rabat on November 12-13, 2009.

The message was conveyed to Dr. Al Al-Sheikh by Moroccan ambassador to the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia Abdel-Karim al-Samar during a meeting here today.

They reviewed aspects of parliamentary cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Morocco.


Meanwhile, Al Al-Sheikh received earlier today in Riyadh Sudanese ambassador to the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdel-Hafez Ibrahim Mohammed.

They reviewed issues pertaining to parliamentary cooperation between the Shoura
Council and the Sudanese National Council.

He also received today South African ambassador to the Kingdom John Davies.

They discussed bilateral relations notably the parliamentary relations between the
Shoura Council and the South African parliament as well as means of activating
parliamentary friendship committees.
