Audi, Volkswagen ordered to conduct recall
SEOUL, Oct. 29 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's government on Thursday ordered European carmakers Audi and Volkswagen to recall a combined 1,662 vehicles sold in the domestic market due to defects in transmission and dashboard operation.
Subject to the recall are 182 Audi units and 1,480 Volkswagen units produced and
sold here between Sept. 1 of last year and Aug. 31, according to the Ministry of
Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
The affected vehicles will be eligible for free repairs at affiliated service
centers starting Friday, the ministry added.
