S. Korean firms less optimistic for Nov. biz conditions

SEOUL, Oct. 29 (Yonhap) -- South Korean companies say business conditions will
likely continue to improve in November, though the outlook is slightly less
positive than a month earlier, a private survey showed Thursday.
The monthly business sentiment index conducted by the Federation of Korean
Industries, the nation's largest corporate lobby, fell to a seasonally adjusted
109.3 for next month, compared with a two-year high of 111.2 for October.
The decline in outlook indicates that companies are growing cautious over the
sustainability of an economic recovery, the federation said in a statement.
"The results show that it's too early to say the economy is clearly in a recovery
phase," it said.
A reading above 100 means that a majority of companies surveyed expect the
overall business environment to improve from the previous month.
