VP: NATIONAL SUMMIT PART OF DEMOCRATIC DEVELOPMENT

Jakarta, Oct 30 (ANTARA) - Vice President Boediono said the just-ended National Summit is part of democratic development in Indonesia.

"Communication and participation are an integral part of democracy," he said when closing the meeting here on Friday.

As the summit was part of democratic development it must be continued and developed in the years to come, he said.

"All the formulated inputs will be reported to President (Susilo Bambang) Yudhoyono and processed by experts to sharpen the new government's programs in its first 100 days," he said.

The two-day meeting was participated in by all provincial governors, district heads, mayors, regional legislators, as well by representatives of the business community and non-governmental organizations.
