PAK-INDIA 2 LAST

Singh had Wednesday said that India was ready to discuss
all issues with Pakistan. However, he made it clear that a
"productive dialogue" could be held only if terrorism is
brought under control by Pakistan.

"We will press the government of Pakistan to curb the
activities of those elements that are engaging in terrorism in
India. If they are non-state actors, it is the solemn duty of
the government of Pakistan to bring them to book, to destroy
their camps and to eliminate their infrastructure," he said.
India put the composite dialogue process on hold after
last year's Mumbai attacks, when members of the Pakistan-based
Lashker-e-Taiba terror group killed nearly 180 people.
New Delhi has linked the resumption of the peace process
to Islamabad taking action against the perpetrators of the
attacks, including LeT founder Hafiz Mohammad Saeed.
Pakistani authorities have arrested seven suspects,
including LeT operatives Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi and Zarar Shah,
for involvement in the attacks but ruled out action against
Saeed, saying there is no evidence against him.
Islamabad has also called for the unconditional
resumption of dialogue. PTI RHL
