Prince Ahmed commends outcome of GCC Interior Ministers Meeting 2 Riyadh

As regards the Saudi-Kuwaiti GCC Intra-traveling with the usage of only national
ID, Prince Ahmed said "this will be done soon after issuing special regulations,
and Kuwait has begun using the smart card."

He also asserted that the outcome of the 28th meeting of the GCC Interior
Ministers, was good and successful for all interests of the States of the Gulf
Cooperation Council."

Asked to comment on checking the safety of the Saudi-Yemeni borders in light of
'uprising' events in Yemen, he said "We are optimistic and hope to resolve this
crisis amicably and in Yemen as well."

Prince Ahmed ruled out the imposition of special security measures in the
pilgrimage season this year. "There are no exceptional measures, and we welcome the
pilgrims, and tell them they are welcome in the Land of the Two Holy Mosques, and
wish them an acceptable Hajj".
