Wise Use and Sharing of Water Incentive for Achievement of World Peace: Prince Khalid bin Sultan
The Hague, October 31, SPA -- Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant
Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs has
stressed that the use and sharing of water resources wisely and fairly will make
water as an incentive for the achievement of peace at international arena.
In a speech at a dinner party hosted by Mayor of Dutch Delft City Bas Verkerk on
Friday evening during Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Award for Water,
the Prince pointed out that the award calls for the invention of non-traditional
solutions to save the planet.
He noted that the statement of the Director-General of UNESCO at the World Water
Day on March 22 confirms that that water affects all aspects of human life.
The Prince commended UNESCO's initiative entitled " From Prospects of Conflict to
Prospects of Cooperation".
He added that the world's proper administration of water is now the vital demand
and that necessary efforts need to be taken to overcome water crisis.
