Saudi Relief Plane Arrives in Philippines

Manila, November 01, SPA -- In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of
the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to provide relief aid to
Philippines to alleviate the suffering of people affected by the hurricane that
recently hit northern Philippines, the first Saudi relief plane arrived today at
Manila Airport.

The plane was loaded with 100 tons of blankets, rugs, tents, and foodstuffs.

Its consignment was received by Philippines' Minister of Social Welfare and
Development Asprinsa Cabral, and Saudi Ambassador to Philippines Mohammed Amin
Wali.

In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Saudi Ambassador said that
Philippines' Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings and thanks of Philippines'
President Gloria Mkajal to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin
Abdulaziz for this urgent humanitarian assistance.
