2-year-old Japanese girl dies from new flu+
MORIOKA, Japan, Nov. 1 Kyodo -
A 2-year-old girl died early Sunday from the new influenza in the northeastern
Japanese city of Morioka, the youngest victim of the H1N1 virus reported so far
in the country.
The girl died of multi-organ failure after developing a high fever Thursday
night and being confirmed infected with the new-flu virus the following day,
according to the Morioka municipal government in Iwate Prefecture.
With two other deaths reported from Kyoto and Hyogo prefectures, the death toll
linked to the disease increased to 43 in Japan, including suspected cases.
