Yemen, IMF discuss mutual cooperation
SANA'A Nov.01 (Saba)- Prime Minister Ali
Mujawar held talks on Sunday with the representative of the International Monetary
Fund (IMF)
over mutual cooperation between Yemen and the fund in coming period, especially in
field of the financial and administrative reforms in the country.
They also discussed current policies of Yemen to face the economic challenges
within impacts of the global financial crisis.
They affirmed importance of enhancing cooperation between the two sides to push
reforms process in Yemen ahead in order to overcome those challenges.
Mujawar highly appreciated assistance presented by the IMF, reviewing achievements
done in the framework of the joint cooperation with the fund.
He also pointed out to the steps and measures taken by the Yemeni government to
minimize impacts of the international financial crisis on the national economy.
For his part, the IMF official affirmed concern of the fund to improve its ties
with Yemeni government and offer assistance for the Yemeni side to face economic
challenges.
He valued tends of the Yemeni government to develop non-oil sectors to support the
national economy.
