RIAU`S IMPORTS DROP 4.70 PCT
Pekanbaru, Indonesia, (Nov 2) ANTARA - Head of Distribution Statistics of the Riau Statistics Agency Tambar Malem Bangun said Monday Riau's imports in July 2009 reached 45.30 million US dollars, which is a 4.70 percent decline compared to the June 2009 imports worth 47.54 million US dollars.
Commulatively, Tambar said, the January-July 2009 imports worth 406.80 million dollars, constituted a 63.09 percent decline compared to last year's corresponding period worth 1,102.03 million dollars.
The contribution of Riau's imports to the national imports in July 2009 reached 0.52 percent, Tambar said, and 0.81 percent in the January-July, 2009 period.
