TOTAL TO OPERATE HADRAMOUT ELECTRICAL GAS STATION

SANA'A, Nov. 02 (Saba) - Total will launch on Tuesday experimental
work at the electrical gas station of al-Wadi and Desert in
Hadramout governorate with initial generating capacity of 25 MW to
reach later 50 MW.

During a meeting gathered Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi with
Total outgoing General Manager in Yemen Mr. Martin Difontin and the
new General Manager Hatim Shabih, Hadi hailed the Total Company's
efforts relating to oil and gas exploration and production.

Hadi wished Difontin all the best in his future tasks, praising his
efforts in developing the company's activities. He also welcomed the
new manager Shabih.

The Vice President affirmed the importance of exerting more efforts
for developing production blocks of oil and gas.

The meeting also discussed the work progress in a number of blocks
and ways of developing them in different aspects.
