Lotte Shopping aims for 22 tln won in sales by 2018
SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Yonhap) -- Lotte Shopping Co., South Korea's second-largest
retailer, said Wednesday that it is targeting 22 trillion won (US$18.62 billion)
in annual sales in its department store division by 2018.
Lotte Shopping disclosed the goal at an event to mark its 30th anniversary here
earlier in the day, saying that if achieved it will help make Lotte one of the
world's top 10 department stores, the retailer said.
To that end, Lotte Department Store will set up 17 more branches by the target
year, including seven overseas stores, bringing the total number of its stores to
46, Lotte Shopping said.
The company also said it aims to develop its discount store division Lotte Mart
into Asia's top discount retailer with 300 branches by 2018.
