JULIA ROBERTS PRODUCER SUGGESTS INDONESIA TO HAVE FILM COMMISSION
Jakarta, Nov 4 (ANTARA) - Producer of the movie picture Eat, Pray, and Love, starred by Julia Roberts, Stein Wlodkowski, suggested Indonesia to form a film commission.
"Wlodkowski suggested Indonesia to form a film commission, which he had officially conveyed to us," Overseas Promotion Director of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism I Gde Pitana said in Jakarta Wednesday.
He said he had a meeting with Wlodkowski and his crew in Benoa, Bali, two days ago.
According to Pitana, Wlodkowski said it was rather strange that Indonesia was one of the very few countries which has no film commission, whereas all of Indonesia`s neighbours have it, he said.
Wlodkowski said that a film commission is very useful to promote a shooting location, facilitate the making of a film, and takes care of documentation and licensing procedures.
Pitana said he will follow up the proposition and discuss it with the stakeholders. ***2***
