PRESIDENT RECEIVES PRINCE ANDREW

SANA'A, Nov.05 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on
Thursday Prince Andrew the Duke of York in the United Kingdom.

Saleh and Andrew discussed mutual relations between Yemen and
Britain and means of enhancing and improving them. The two parts
tackled investment opportunities in Yemen and expanding trade and
investment cooperation.

The meeting dealt with many regional and international developments.

The British prince reaffirmed his country's support to Yemen, its
unity, stability and development, affirming desire to increase
cooperation fields with Yemen.

President Saleh highlighted Britain's support to Yemen, its
stability and progress. He hailed British support to the country in
donors' conference held in London in 2006 and the cooperation with
Yemen through the European Union.

Saleh re-welcomed British investments in fields of oil, gas,
minerals, energy, water desalination, roads and other fields. He
indicated that there are many investment opportunities in Yemen and
that British investments will get Yemen's complete care and
facilitations.
