PAK-LD FISHERMEN
Karachi, Nov 6 (PTI) Pakistani authorities have
arrested 13 Indian fishermen and seized three boats they were
travelling in for allegedly entering the country's territorial
waters without permission.
A senior official of the Maritime Security Agency on
Friday said the arrests were made on Thursday after the Indian
fishermen were found fishing illegally 55 nautical miles
inside Pakistani territory.
"The Indian fishermen have been handed over to the
police for further proceedings," MSA spokesman Lieutenant
Commander Shakeel Ahmed Khan said. The arrested fishermen were
sent to judicial custody on Friday.
"We have to establish their identity and intent of
coming into our territorial waters," he said.
