S. Korea's Song grabs Mizuno Classic

SEOUL, Nov. 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Song Bo-bae won the Mizuno Classic on
Sunday, notching a three-stroke victory over her rivals, the LPGA said on its Web
site.
Song closed with a 15-under 201 to edge out Lorena Ochoa, Park Hee-young and
Brittany Lang, the LPGA said in a roundup of the scores from the Kintetsu
Kashikojima Country Club in Shima, Japan.
The US$210,000 competition marks the 23-year-old's first LPGA victory and ties
the 2006 record, when 11 South Korean players each took an LPGA title.
South Korea's Park shared second place with Lang of the United States and Ochoa
of Mexico at the close of the three-day event. Shin Ji-yai of South Korea tied
for fifth place by closing with a 69.
Song's first-place finish allows her to extend her LPGA qualification by another
season.
