GM Daewoo to recall some 32,000 compact cars for faulty seat belts

SEOUL, Nov. 9 (Yonhap) -- GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co., the South Korean unit
of U.S. carmaker General Motors Co., will recall 32,272 vehicles because of
defective seat belts, government officials said Monday.

Subject to the recall are the Lacetti Premier produced between Nov. 5 last year
and Sept. 10 this year, according to officials at the Ministry of Land, Transport
and Maritime Affairs.
GM Daewoo will rectify the defect for free at its service centers across the
nation starting Tuesday.
