Flights to be restricted on college entrance exam day
SEOUL, Nov. 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's government said Wednesday that it has
ordered local and foreign airlines to restrict or reschedule their flights during
a nation-wide college entrance exam in order to avoid causing inconvenience for
test takers.
Flights will be suspended for 23 minutes from 8:35 a.m. on Thursday and
restricted again for 30 minutes from 1:05 p.m. on the same day in the skies over
1,124 schools where the annual college entrance exam will be held, according to
the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
The move will affect the flights of a total of 114 local and foreign registered
airplanes with the nation's top flag carrier Korean Air rescheduling 41 flights,
the ministry said.
