U.S. EMBASSY TO CELEBRATE INT'L EDUCATION WEEK 2009 IN JAKARTA
Jakarta, Nov 12 (ANTARA) - The U.S Embassy office in Jakarta will organize the International Education Week on November 16-20, 2009, to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange
worldwide.
As part of the emerging Comprehensive Partnership with Indonesia, the U.S. Embassy would also host its first American Film Festival and co-sponsor Youthspeak Fun Day on Nov 12-18, a release from that embassy made available to Antara in Jakarta, Thursday, said.
Co-sponsored by Kineforum and Jolly Time Popcorn. All films will be free of charge. The films cover American movie making from the 1950s to the 21st century and highlight American education.
Taman Ismail Marzuki, located at Jalan Cikini Raya No. 73, Central Jakarta, will be the venue for all 16 films to be screened.
In addition, the U.S. Embassy will be holding other education-related events throughout the month of November.
