Seoul shares turn weaker late morning


SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.41 percent lower late
Friday morning after a strong start as losses of tech blue chips and automakers
weighed on the market, analysts said.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 6.45 points to
1,566.28 as of 11:20 a.m.
Market leader Samsung Electronics declined 0.28 percent and chip giant Hynix
Semiconductor lost 1.28 percent after Hyosung said the previous day that it will
withdraw its offer to buy the chipmaker.
The local currency was trading at 1,161.25 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., down 3.95 won from Thursday's close.
