STX Offshore wins 1.02 tln won deal for ore carriers

SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Yonhap) -- STX Offshore & Shipbuilding Co. said Friday it has won
a 1.02 trillion won (US$879 million) contract for eight large ore carriers.

The deal with the Asian shipper calls on STX Offshore to deliver the eight
vessels by September 2012, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company did not identify the name of the buyer.
Shares of STX Offshore closed at 12,550 won on the Seoul bourse, unchanged from
the previous day's close.
