Kalam to award Indian students in Oman

Dubai, Nov 12 (PTI) Former President of India A P J Abdul
Kalam will visit Oman next week to present the Bank Muscat
Academic Excellence Awards 2009 to the students of the Indian
schools in the country.
Kalam will also take part in an interactive session
titled "Ignited Minds" with a group of 300 children from
various Indian schools in Oman on November 20.
"This is the first time that an academic excellence award
function is being conducted for all Indian schools across
Oman," Indian ambassador to Oman Anil Wadhwa said.
After his tenure as a President from 2002 to 2007, Kalam
has dedicated his life to inspire and ignite young minds in
India and abroad.
The program has been organised by Indian Social Club's
Tamil Wing and Bank Muscat. PTI
