SPORT LANKA 4 LAST

The Lankans were robbed of precious match practice
when their three-day tie against the Board President's XI in
western city of Mumbai was washed out due to inclement weather
in the wake of the deep depression over the Arabian Sea
earlier this week.

They had to make do with the indoor practice
facilities at the Mumbai Cricket Association's Bandra-Kurla
Complex Recreation Centre before reaching Ahmedabad.
The visitors have arrived with a squad in which only
five players – captain Kumar Sangakkara, former skipper Mahela
Jayawardene, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Thilan Samaraweera and
Muralitharan – are survivors from their previous visit.
Dilshan, who suffered an ankle sprain at Mumbai during
indoor practice, is expected to play but it case he misses
out, it would be a big blow to Lanka.
