3 more die of swine flu, toll touches 523

New Delhi, Nov 12 (PTI) Three persons died due to
swine flu across India even as 161 fresh cases were reported
Sunday.

Out of the three deaths, two were reported from
Maharashtra and one from Kerala, taking the total number of
deaths due to the viral disease to 523, a health ministry
official said here.
The total number of cases have touched 15,411
including those of today, the official said.
Of the cases reported during the day, the highest of
96 fresh cases were reported from Rajasthan followed by Delhi
(26).
So far Maharashtra has registered the highest number
of 3,796 cases in the country after the outbreak of the viral
disease followed by Delhi (3,761).
Out of the 161 cases reported during the day, three
have foreign travel history while the rest are indigenous.
"Till date, samples from 79,272 people have been
tested for swine flu in government laboratories and a few
private laboratories across the country and 15,411 (19.4 per
cent) of them have been found positive," the official said.
