GIANT MUSHROOM FOUND IN TASIKMALAYA CITY
Tasikmalaya, W Java, Indonesia, Nov 16 (ANTARA) - A giant mushroom 50 cm in diameter was found in Kampung Batu Nungku, Cipari village, Tasikmalaya city, West Java on Sunday (Nov 15).
Jajang, a local resident, said he found the mushroom on Sunday morning, but it first looked normal, but later at noon to his surprise it had grown so big.
"I found the mushroom still small on Sunday morning. However, it became so big at noon. Up till Monday the mushroom has a diameter of 50 diameter," said Jajang here on Monday.
Realizing the oddity, Jajang informed his neighbors about what he had found, and asked them to watch over it.
"The mushroom has now attracted many people," he said here on Monday.
In order to protect the mushroom, Jajang and some other residents built a bamboo fench around it.***
